Carolinian Sociological Anthropological Society
CARSAS is the co-curricular organization of the SoAn Department composed of Sociology and Anthropology students. CARSAS aims to enhance critical thinking among SoAn students, by engaging in discussions not only on Sociological and Anthropological theories, but also on pressing social issues.
CARSAS was founded in 1983 following its predecessor, the Sociological Anthropological Society (SAS).

Officers
For school year 2003-2004, elected as officers were: Karl Damayo, President; Mark Lorenzana, Vice President; Jo-anne Comedido, Secretary; Hazel Perez, Treasurer; Rozel Rigor, Auditor; and March One Matin-ao, PRO.
Heading the five committees are: Rhandie Carta, Research & Publication; Amir Aluk, Socio-Cultural; Joeny Canastra, Community Development; Aldwin Empaces, Ways & Means; and Eduardo Felipe, Education.
Year Level representatives are: Ken __, First Year; Lovelin Archival, Second Year; Novy Antiporta, Third Year; and Leah Dimaunahan, Fourth Year.

Activities
CARSAS week was celebrated February 3-8, 2003 with the theme: "Reliving the Storm; Continuing the Struggle for a Liberal Education".
Several activities were conducted including an exhibit depicting the state of Philippine Education; various fora on the First Quarter Storm; Repressive Education Policies; and the Philippine Education System. A video documentary entitled "Edukasyon" was likewise shown. A Cultural Show capped the week-long activities. This was participated in by CARSAS members as well as other school organizations, including the USC Choristers, Theater Guild and Pasakanin.

SOAN 2003 GRADUATES
Thirteen (13) CARSAS members graduated last March 2003; namely: Dante, Kaira, Dobie,Irish, Roro, Tetet Abasolo, Creslin Aguas, Sonny Agustin, Tristan Ando, Jadah Enriquez, Gigi Grava, Ritchel Salas and Liana dela Rosa.CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
ACQUAINTANCE PARTY SET
CARSAS will be holding its Annual Acquaintance Party on July 19, 2003 at Tungkop, Minglanilla.
